Transfer Students and Advanced Academic Placement
Students transferring from other institutions may receive academic credit for those subjects of like content and requirements. Academic credit and Advanced Academic Placement will only be granted if the student achieves a minimum score of 85% on the Dorsey Schools’ final exam and/or competency test for four allowable courses. For students earning this academic credit, program length will be reduced by one academic quarter and tuition will be adjusted by an amount equal to the cost of the four courses. Transfer credits shall not be granted for any Dorsey Schools’ career program comprised of 24 credit hours or less.
Students may “test-out” of not more than 25% of program courses by achieving a minimum score of 85% on the Dorsey Schools’ final exam and/or competency test for allowable courses. Students “testing-out” of courses in this manner will be allowed to substitute another course for this course.
With the Managing Directors’ permission, students may transfer from one campus to another at the beginning of a module subject to scheduling accommodations.
